    Week 1: Foundations of Fitness

    Week 1: Foundations of Fitness

    With our professional coaches we will help you get familiar with the movements you’ll be using in your workouts or your group classes. Many of these movements you already know — well, at least the intuition of your body already knows. We’re just going to make you better at them. We’ll teach you how to use primal movement patterns like the lunge, bend, jump, squat, pull, twist and press with safe, effective technique so you can get stronger and avoid injury. This is our Structural Balance phase and don’t worry if you need extra time here. Everyone has their own pace.

    Groove may sound a little outdated but we are "RetroFIT so it fits. What getting into the groove means is that this week things begin to fall into working order. You're more comfortable with your workout and you can start to challenge yourself. 

    Don’t be afraid to show up early, ask questions, cheer on your peers, and socialize after the workout! Our community means the world to us and we want you to be a part of it.

    Congrats on making some new friends! Take in the community and see how it feels to belong to a group of fit-minded people. You'll surround yourself with others who have like-minded goals. They might not be exactly like yours but they are usually very similar to yours and they know what its like to work hard and have since achieved their goals. So will you and when this happens you are more likely to succeed.

    After three to four weeks your strength and fitness will start to really improve and you'll start to see measurable changes in muscle cells.

    Your nervous system is much more efficient at being able to contract your muscles and everything begins to change.

    You might be feeling a little soreness at this point, but that’s a good thing. Your body is adapting to your new level of fitness. Just one month of consistent effort and you’ll start seeing results. We’ll also check in with your goals and keep you accountable.
